Maritime influence
The vines extend near the Bages-Sigean lagoon, a vast inlet open to the Mediterranean. The spray-laden air marks the grapes with a fine saline imprint.

CHAPTER · TERROIR
Maritime sub-zone of the AOP Corbières, on the edge of the Bages-Sigean lagoon.
GEOGRAPHY
Peyriac-de-Mer is one of the most singular villages of the Aude coast. The lagoon water rises between the slopes, the garrigue takes over on the heights. It is in this in-between — mineral, ventilated, saline — that the vine takes root, across twenty hectares farmed organically.
THE FOUR FORCES
The vines extend near the Bages-Sigean lagoon, a vast inlet open to the Mediterranean. The spray-laden air marks the grapes with a fine saline imprint.
Tramontane and marin regularly sweep the slopes. This natural ventilation dries the canopy and reduces disease pressure — a precious ally in organic farming.
The Sigean sector rests on a limestone and marl-limestone substrate. Poor, well-draining soils, low yields, concentrated and taut grapes.
The estate lies within the Narbonnaise en Méditerranée Regional Nature Park: a mosaic of lagoons, garrigues and protected areas of remarkable biodiversity.
“A terroir is not told, it is tasted.”
