Terms of sale

Last updated: 14 June 2026

1. Purpose

These general terms and conditions of sale (T&Cs) govern wine sales made on domainepilenium.com between PILE (SAS, ‘the Estate’) and any buyer (‘the Customer’). Any order implies full and unconditional acceptance of these T&Cs, which the Customer acknowledges having read before ordering.

2. The seller

PILE — SAS with share capital of €1 400 000, registered office at 381 Pla de l'Ille, 11440 Peyriac-de-Mer, RCS Narbonne 918 127 317, VAT FR33 918 127 317. Contact via the contact form.

3. Products

The products offered are wines from organic farming. Photographs and descriptions are provided for information only and are not contractually binding; vintages may change depending on stock.

4. Prices

Prices are shown in euros, inclusive of all taxes, excluding delivery charges. Delivery charges are calculated automatically at checkout, according to the destination and order contents. Products are invoiced at the price in force when the order is confirmed. In the event of an obvious pricing error, the Estate reserves the right to cancel the order and refund the Customer.

5. Ordering

The Customer selects their products, checks their basket, then confirms their order after accepting these T&Cs. The sale becomes final after payment confirmation.

6. Payment & retention of title

Payment is made online in a secure environment when the order is confirmed. The products remain the property of PILE until the price has been paid in full; however, risk passes when the products are handed over to the Customer or a third party designated by them.

7. Availability

Offers are valid while stocks last. If a product becomes unavailable after ordering, the Customer is informed and refunded for the product concerned.

8. Delivery & dispatch

Orders are dispatched within 24 business hours after payment confirmation; transit times then depend on the carrier and destination. As wine is a fragile product, the Customer must check the parcel’s condition on delivery and, in the event of damage or missing items, record precise, written and dated reservations with the carrier, then inform us promptly. Details: delivery policy.

9. Right of withdrawal

The consumer Customer has 14 days from receipt to withdraw (Articles L.221-18 et seq.), for unopened bottles with seals intact, via our withdrawal page. Return costs and risks are borne by the Customer (Article L.221-23), who must ensure suitable repackaging for transport; they are liable for any diminished value of the products. Under Article L.221-28, bottles opened or unsealed after delivery are excluded from the right of withdrawal for reasons of hygiene and health protection. Terms: returns & refunds.

10. Wine storage

Wine is a living and sensitive product. After delivery, proper storage (temperature, light and bottle position) is the Customer’s responsibility; the Estate cannot be held responsible for deterioration resulting from unsuitable storage conditions.

11. Statutory warranties

The Customer benefits from the statutory guarantee of conformity (Articles L.217-3 et seq. of the French Consumer Code) and the warranty against hidden defects (Articles 1641 et seq. of the French Civil Code).

12. Liability & force majeure

The Estate cannot be held liable for misuse, unsuitable storage or inappropriate consumption of the products, nor for non-performance due to force majeure or an unforeseeable and unavoidable act of a third party. In all cases, its liability is limited to the amount of the order concerned, to the extent permitted by law.

13. Sale of alcohol — minors

Excessive alcohol consumption is dangerous to health; drink in moderation. Selling alcohol to minors under 18 is prohibited. By ordering, the Customer certifies that they are at least 18 years old.

14. Personal data

Data processing is detailed in our Privacy Policy.

15. Applicable law & disputes

These T&Cs are governed by French law. In the event of a dispute, the Customer may use a consumer mediator free of charge (Article L.612-1) or the European online dispute resolution platform: ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
